Job summary

Axle Energy is building software to accelerate the transition to a low‑carbon energy system. Our platform optimises when and how energy is used by controlling vehicle charging, home batteries and heating, with a modern cloud stack and a strong investor backing.

We’re hiring for a hybrid role in London, offering meaningful equity and total compensation in the £75k–£200k range, with a flexible, flat structure and opportunities to shape the future of energy markets.

Qualifications

• Experience building models at scale and deploying production systems.
• Understanding of energy markets or grid dynamics is a plus.
• Comfort communicating with clients and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Building, optimising, and deploying models that operate reliably at scale
• Developing a deep understanding of energy markets, grid dynamics, and trading strategies
• Taking ownership of the full lifecycle of your work, from research and prototyping through to production
• Writing clean, production-quality code and contributing to robust, scalable systems
• Working beyond notebooks, turning ideas into real-world, productionised solutions
