Job summary

National Energy System Operator Limited is seeking a Sector Security Risk Lead to identify, assess, and mitigate security risks across the energy sector. The role requires NSV clearance and experience with whole-energy-system risk management.

You will work across the Sector Security team and wider NESO groups, collaborating with government, regulators, and industry partners to drive risk-informed resilience outcomes.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in energy sector risk management and resilience.
• Strong ability to translate complex risk issues into actionable insights.

Responsibilities

• Lead risk assessments and deep-dive reviews across the energy system to identify and prioritise security and resilience risks.
• Collaborate with industry, government, regulators and NESO to map interdependencies and systemic risks.
• Develop risk-informed recommendations and support delivery of licence conditions and strategic programmes.
