Budget Energy is seeking a Regulation Analyst to join our Regulation, Policy and Compliance team, ensuring consumer protection and regulatory compliance across our Northern Ireland and ROI units. You will monitor consultations, influence policy, conduct audits, and inform business units of regulatory changes.

The role requires 2–5 years in a regulatory/compliance environment and a relevant degree; energy-regulation experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Degree in Law, Business, Compliance, Public Policy, or related discipline.
• Experience in regulatory, compliance, policy, governance, or related role (2–5 years).
• Knowledge of regulated energy environment is desirable.

Responsabilités

• Monitor, report and respond to regulatory consultations in NI, the UK, EU, and other markets.
• Support lobbying and influencing new regulatory requirements and government policy.
• Conduct regulatory compliance audits and spot checks across functions.
• Inform business units on regulatory requirements to aid commercial decisions.
• Coordinate collection of information for regulatory returns filings.
• Represent the company at industry fora and workshops and share insights with colleagues.
• Keep the business updated on regulatory developments and policy changes.
• Undertake research to inform strategic responses to consultations and external queries.
