Job summary

East Suffolk Council is seeking a proactive Community Engagement Officer to act as the main contact for NSIPs, liaising with residents, businesses and parish councils to explain project impacts and opportunities.

You will plan and deliver engagement activities, briefings, workshops and events, coordinate Sizewell C enquiries, and support timely issue resolution across council services.

Qualifications

• Experience in community engagement or similar roles.
• Ability to handle sensitive or contentious issues.
• Strong organisation and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver community engagement activities, briefings, workshops and stakeholder events.
• Coordinate and manage NSIP-related enquiries, concerns and complaints.
• Work with council services and partners to investigate and respond to issues.
