Job summary

NES Group Ltd is seeking a Procurement Specialist focused on energy and utilities in Teesside. The role is permanent and emphasizes energy sourcing across electricity, gas, utilities and emissions. The successful candidate will lead pricing models, monitor markets and support budgeting and carbon initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have deep experience in energy markets, strong analytical skills and a background in energy-intensive industries such as chemical or manufacturing.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' procurement/sourcing experience.
• Proven experience negotiating in commercially complex or volatile markets.
• Strong understanding of energy procurement, utilities or energy markets.
• Strong analytical and commercial skills.
• Ideally experience within chemical, process, manufacturing, industrial or other energy-intensive environments.

Responsibilities

• Developing procurement strategies across electricity, natural gas, utilities and emissions allowances.
• Leading energy sourcing, including fixed, indexed and blended pricing models.
• Monitoring energy markets, pricing trends and regulatory developments.
• Managing relationships with energy suppliers, brokers and intermediaries.
• Supporting energy budgeting, forecasting, consumption analysis and cost modelling.
• Identifying opportunities around green electricity, PPAs, biomethane and solar.
• Developing strategies to manage energy price volatility and supply risk.
• Supporting wider carbon reduction and sustainability initiatives.
