Job summary

Bath Spa University is seeking an Energy Performance Officer to join the Sustainability Team in the Estates department at Newton Park, Bath. You will lead energy monitoring, carbon reduction initiatives, and develop our ISO 50001 Energy Management System to drive the university toward a low-carbon future.

You will work closely with the Sustainability Manager to use data and innovative technologies to optimise building performance, manage metering, and deliver energy and carbon reporting across

Qualifications

  • Educated to relevant degree-level qualification or equivalent.
  • Recent experience in a similar role/one with transferrable skills.
  • Hold an m&t qualification or demonstrable CPD.
  • Previous BEMS analysis experience and CPD.
  • Knowledge of ISO management systems.
  • Strong data analysis skills.
  • Energy management system experience.
  • Experience of implementing m&t strategies.
  • Membership of IEMA or similar professional body.

Responsibilities

  • Lead energy monitoring and carbon reduction initiatives.
  • Develop ISO 50001 Energy Management System.
  • Analyse data to optimise building performance.
  • Manage utility metering systems.
  • Deliver energy and carbon reporting.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency across the estate.
