Job summary

Gi Group UK is hiring Full Time Meter Readers to cover gas and electricity meters in homes and businesses. No prior experience is required, and you’ll work close to home with a flexible schedule and a 37.5 hour week.

You will collect meter reads on a handheld device, provide good customer service, and complete training. Benefits include weekly pay, 28 days holiday, a company pension, uniform and PPE, and a bonus scheme with up to £250 per week.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred but not required.
• Must be physically fit and able to bend, lift, and kneel.
• Able to work in all weather conditions.
• Clear DBS check (no unspent convictions).
• Access to own vehicle and UK driving licence (6 points max).
• Basic business insurance.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve data from gas, electricity meters at domestic/commercial sites.
• Carry out visual inspections of metering equipment.
• Enter readings on handheld device and ensure accuracy.
• Provide excellent customer service at all times.
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines.
