You will drive long-term energy plans, manage projects from feasibility to verification, and act as a technical expert on HVAC, lighting, and BMS technologies.

This role emphasizes data-driven decision making, rigorous performance monitoring, and delivering measurable cost and carbon savings while partnering with clients and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Proven energy management experience in sustainability or building services.
• Strong technical understanding of HVAC, lighting, and BMS systems.
• Experience delivering energy reduction projects from concept to completion.
• Ability to analyse energy data and model payback for investments.

Lead Energy Strategy DevelopmentDevelop and implement long-term energy strategies that align with organisational objectives, sustainability commitments, and energy reduction targets.2. Deliver Energy & Carbon Reduction ProjectsIdentify, assess and implement energy efficiency initiatives, managing projects through feasibility, business case development, implementation and verification.3. Provide Technical Energy ExpertiseAct as the subject matter expert on energy management, utilities, HVAC, lighting, BMS, legislation and emerging technologies.4. Conduct Energy Audits & AssessmentsUndertake comprehensive energy surveys, feasibility studies and air conditioning inspections to identify opportunities for improvement and investment.5. Monitor Performance & ReportingAnalyse utility consumption data, benchmark performance, track emissions targets and produce insightful reports for stakeholders and clients.6. Build Strong Client RelationshipsPartner with clients, facilities teams and contractors to drive continuous improvement, maximise energy savings and deliver outstanding service.Person Specification1. Proven Energy Management ExperienceDemonstrable experience in energy management, sustainability, utilities, or building services environments.2. Strong Technical KnowledgeExcellent understanding of HVAC systems, lighting, refrigeration, Building Management Systems (BMS) and energy efficiency technologies.3. Relevant Professional QualificationsDegree-level qualification in Energy Management, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline, with Low Carbon Consultant accreditation preferred.4. Project Management CapabilityExperience delivering energy or M&E projects from feasibility through to implementation, ensuring delivery on time and within budget.5. Analytical & Commercial MindsetAbility to interpret energy data, conduct feasibility studies, assess payback periods and support investment decisions.6.
