Job summary

Matchtech Group is seeking an Associate or Associate Director to lead the structural engineering delivery for UK energy infrastructure projects within a growing multidisciplinary team. You will provide technical leadership and drive delivery across substations, transmission and distribution assets, and power facilities.

You will manage client relationships, mentor engineers, and support growth through bids and proposals, with a strong focus on collaboration and innovation.

Qualifications

• CEng status with a recognised professional institution.
• Significant experience in structural engineering design and project delivery.
• Proven ability to lead complex projects and multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong commercial awareness and client management skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the structural design and delivery of major energy infrastructure projects.
• Provide strategic direction on project planning, resourcing, and risk management.
• Deliver structural engineering solutions for substations, transmission and distribution assets, overhead line structures, power generation facilities, and related infrastructure.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted technical advisor.
• Mentor and develop engineers and technicians within the team.
• Support business development activities, including bids, proposals, and client presentations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated and sustainable solutions.
• Drive innovation, best practice, and continuous improvement across projects and teams.
