Job summary

FCC Environment is hiring a Shift Team Leader for the EnviRecover site in Worcestershire to supervise the operational shift team and ensure safe, compliant operation of the Energy from Waste facility. You will act as a Senior Authorised Person, lead activities, respond to emergencies and support continuous plant performance and reliability.

This full-time role operates on a rotating 24-hour shift pattern across days and nights, with opportunities to develop leadership skills and contribute to

Qualifications

• Extensive operational experience in power generation or related sectors
• Experience in fast-paced, demanding operational environments
• Knowledge of environmental permits, health and safety legislation, outage management
• Strong leadership and people management skills

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead the operational shift team
• Act as Senior Authorised Person and enforce safety rules
• Manage emergencies and coordinate with stakeholders and emergency services
• Ensure compliance with environmental permits and design criteria
• Maintain high standards of safety and housekeeping
• Oversee plant inputs and outputs for efficient processing
• Ensure only suitable waste is accepted
• Conduct performance appraisals and coaching
• Produce incident reports and shift logs
• Maximise plant availability, efficiency and reliability
• Complete effective shift handovers
• Promote continuous improvement within the shift team
