Job summary

Careys is seeking an experienced Project Manager in Middlesbrough to lead delivery of a major Energy from Waste project. You will oversee planning, engineering coordination, construction, commissioning and handover, ensuring safety, quality and environmental compliance.

You will manage multidisciplinary teams, key stakeholders, and drive programme performance while shaping commercial strategy and risk mitigation across all build phases.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership of large civils/energy projects.
• Experience with health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Strong planning, governance and risk management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead project-wide quality, safety, and environmental strategy.
• Provide technical authority and oversee temporary/permanent works.
• Manage design governance and information flow with BIM compliance.
• Coordinate multi-site logistics and supply chain interfaces.
• Direct procurement and materials strategies to maintain programme.
• Own the master programme and report progress against milestones.
• Contribute to commercial strategy, variations, and cost forecasting.
• Lead project teams and oversee stakeholder meetings and outcomes.
