J. Murphy & Sons Ltd is recruiting a Construction Manager to lead the construction and installation phase of an Energy project from Norwich to Tilbury.

The successful candidate will oversee construction resources, manage subcontractors, and coordinate constructability input while ensuring CDM compliance and high quality standards. A background in Major Civils and strong leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in delivering Major Civils projects.
• Experience within a Construction Manager role or similar.
• HNC / HND or NVQ Level 5 (or Degree).
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, able to develop close working relationships with clients and subcontractors.
• A true leader with passion for people development, can do attitude and a flare for innovation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the construction and installation phase of the project.
• Coordinate constructability input during solutions identification and development phase.
• Allocation of construction staff to projects based on experience, skills and knowledge.
• Liaises with the Project Managers to ensure a suitably sized construction resource pool.
• Oversee construction resources including Labour, Plant and Materials; manage subcontractors.
