Job summary

The National Energy Foundation (NEF) seeks a Project Officer to deliver core project outputs and engage with customers, members and funders via helpline and case management services. You will manage a caseload end-to-end and support energy efficiency initiatives, including Wales-focused expansions.

You will provide guidance, deliver training, liaise with installers and stakeholders, and help administer projects while operating within NEF's QMS framework.

Qualifications

• Ability to work with and for the public in a caring and non-judgmental way.
• Excellent verbal (including telephone) and written communication skills.
• Enthusiastic, proactive, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to engage with people remotely, one-to-one and in groups.
• Highly organised with a methodical approach to projects and attention to detail.
• Interest in energy saving, energy efficiency and renewable energy; training provided if needed.
• Willingness to travel; regular travel to events is expected.
• Ability to work outside office hours with prior arrangement.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, Word, Office 365 and Dynamics 365.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a car with business insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide residents with information and advice via telephone helpline and assess grant eligibility.
• Advise on energy efficiency and fuel switching options.
• Prepare and deliver training to various audiences on programmes and funding.
• Attend outreach events to engage householders.
• Coordinate between householders and installers to ensure smooth energy efficiency installations.
• Manage CRM systems and related databases.
• Adhere to NEF Quality Management Systems (QMS).
• Provide secretariat services to programme steering groups and take minutes.
• Assist Project Manager with project administration and reporting.
• Support other Foundation activities as workload requires.
