West Northants Council is seeking an Energy Officer to support the delivery of energy and sustainability objectives across the council estate. You will work closely with the Energy Manager to manage utility invoices, data collection, meter readings and energy reporting, with a focus on reducing costs and carbon emissions while ensuring accurate cost recovery and compliance.

Competenze

• Strong understanding of energy management and energy efficiency programmes in public sector buildings.
• Knowledge of national carbon management agenda and statutory reporting.
• Experience in managing energy accounts and utility contracts.

Mansioni

• Review, validate and pay utility invoices promptly.
• Manage energy recharges for third-party occupiers within Council assets.
• Oversee energy data collection, meter readings submission, and energy management system upkeep.
• Support analysis of energy usage and carbon emissions data to inform decisions.
• Coordinate with suppliers on smart metering rollout and ensure Display Energy Certificates.
• Prepare reports and engage stakeholders to drive energy efficiency improvements.
