Job summary

Bury Council's Energy Team is seeking a Technical Energy Officer to drive energy improvement across housing stock. You will coordinate retrofit surveys, collect and analyse energy data, and support long-term investment plans and grant applications.

The role requires knowledge of Decent Homes, MEES and PAS 2035, plus strong data and stakeholder management. Hybrid working and a 37-hour week based at 6 Knowsley Place are provided.

Qualifications

• Retrofit coordination and energy data analysis
• Knowledge of Decent Homes and energy standards (PAS 2035)
• Strong data management and reporting
• Experience with asset management systems and survey tools

Responsibilities

• Carry out Retrofit Co-ordination across the housing portfolio
• Collect accurate energy and retrofit data
• Support asset management strategy and investment planning
• Provide specialist advice on low carbon heating and installations
• Maintain asset database using relevant software
• Project manage and liaise with residents, contractors and colleagues
• Develop specifications and briefs for energy schemes and funding requirements
• Assist with delivery of energy schemes and grant documentation
