  • Working closely with specialists, operational teams, and contractors to deliver projects efficiently and effectively.
  • Securing project funding and confidently managing a £20m investment programme.
  • Chairing collaborative working groups to maintain momentum, resolve challenges, and keep everyone aligned and informed.
  • Driving continuous improvement and constructively challenging the status quo to maximise benefits.
  • Maintaining clear oversight of energy performance across major Thames Water sites, proactively managing risks and identifying opportunities.

Base location: Hybrid Clearwater Court - Travel into the office twice a month, and occasional site visits.

Working pattern or hours: Full-time, Monday–Friday (36 hours per week)

What you should bring to the role

  • A proven track record in operational energy management, ideally with experience in water or similar industries.
  • Strong programme and project management skills, matched by a naturally analytical and organised approach.
  • Exceptional collaboration and communication skills, with a flair for influencing and motivating teams.
  • Passion for sustainability, innovation, and making a tangible difference.
  • A degree in Engineering, Science, or a closely related field.

What’s in it for you?

You'll join a team where your ideas shape the future, contributing directly to meaningful environmental outcomes. Alongside career growth and a dynamic working environment, you’ll receive:

  • Starting salary of up to £60,000 depending on experience.
  • 26 days holiday per year, increasing to 30 with the length of service (plus bank holidays).
  • Generous Pension Scheme through AON
  • Access to lots of benefits to help you take care of you and your family’s health and wellbeing, and your finances – from annual health MOTs and access to physiotherapy and counselling, to Cycle to Work schemes, shopping vouchers and life assurance.
