Job summary

Northern Powergrid is seeking a proactive Connections Administrator to help manage domestic and small commercial applications through the quotation journey. You will screen applications, release schemes to technicians, and coordinate cross-department steps to ensure a smooth customer experience across various connection types.

The role requires strong customer service, organisational skills, and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Customer service focussed – you will be the first engagement with a customer along their journey.
• Excellent organisational & time management – prioritise workload to meet business requirements.
• Attention to detail – work accurately in line with policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Screening connections applications for minimum information and progressing them to the Connection Technician/Works Coordinator.
• Releasing schemes with accurate information to enable a smooth customer journey.
• Perform network checks and follow-on steps, liaising across departments per Design Rules and the price book.
• Desktop working across multiple systems to progress customer requests across services (disconnections, diversions, unmetered, generation, street lighting).
• Provide support to colleagues within the wider connections teams.
• Manage own workload and adjust priorities as volumes change.
• Support the Connection Technicians/Works Coordinator to ensure a 10/10 customer experience.
• Assist the wider Northern Powergrid team during Major Incidents.
