Job summary

Axle Energy seeks an analytics engineer to own and optimize core data pipelines powering analytics for UK energy trading and flexibility markets. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, crunch numbers, and drive daily and monthly operational processes in a fast-moving environment.

The role emphasizes building a deep understanding of source data, ensuring accurate data delivery to support settlements and revenue assurance while advancing Axle's mission for a low-carbon future.

Qualifications

• Proficient in SQL and Python for data analysis and issue investigation.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to work with MW, kWh and £ metrics.
• Motivation to contribute to climate change efforts and energy transition.

Responsibilities

• Owns UK energy trading operations, including daily trading processes and settlements review.
• Debugs complex edge cases across trading, asset registration and settlement workflows.
• Identifies revenue and delivery risks and mitigates them proactively.
• Communicates insights clearly to engineering and commercial teams.
• Builds and maintains relationships with DSOs, UK market regulators and other stakeholders.
