Job summary

Portmeirion Group UK Limited in Swindon is seeking a Sales Assistant for an 8-week pop-up shop. You will greet customers, provide product guidance, and help the team hit sales targets while delivering an outstanding shopping experience.

You will work with the Shop Manager and retail team to maintain store standards, promote promotions, manage stock, and contribute ideas to boost performance.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service and greet customers promptly.
• Engage with customers, identify needs, and promote products.
• Help achieve store sales, conversion and ATV targets.
• Maintain attractive, well-stocked merchandising displays.
• Ensure products are properly priced with clear signage.
• Book in and process incoming stock accurately.
• Monitor stock levels and report low stock to the Shop Manager.
• Encourage customers to join mailing lists and promotions.
• Support regular stocktakes and accurate counting.
• Collaborate with the team to meet store objectives.
• Provide feedback to improve sales and customer experience.
• Open and close the store following procedures under the Shop Manager.
