Job summary

The South West Endoscopy Training Academy (SWETA) seeks an outstanding Endoscopy Lead/Clinical Director to shape the future of endoscopy training across the region. The role provides senior clinical and strategic leadership and works with NHS England and partners to deliver world-class education and workforce development.

It is offered at up to 0.3 WTE with flexible distribution across consultants, open to various endoscopy specialties, including gastroenterology and related fields.

Qualifications

• Senior clinical and strategic leadership experience

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership, professional oversight and expert clinical guidance to align training with national standards.
• Lead stakeholder engagement with Trusts, training centres, clinical leads and professional bodies to promote innovation and staff development.
• Oversee expansion, accreditation of training sites and standardised assessment processes while championing equitable access to training.
