Job summary

NHS England seeks an outstanding clinical leader to be the Endoscopy Lead/Clinical Director for the South West Endoscopy Training Academy. The role shapes strategic direction, oversees training delivery, and ensures alignment with national standards and regional needs.

The post offers flexible working patterns, with up to 0.3 WTE and secondment options for NHS colleagues. Applicants from relevant endoscopy specialties are welcome.

Qualifications

• GMC registration with licence to practise and inclusion on the specialist register (or within 6 months of CCT).
• Experience in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy relevant to your specialty.
• Experience in clinical education, training, and/or faculty development. TT T and TCT accreditation desired.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership for the SW Endoscopy Training Academy, shaping strategic direction and long-term delivery models.
• Lead on clinical quality assurance and governance for Academy activity.
• Promote equity of access to training and lead workforce transformation initiatives.
