Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced nurse to manage the Nurse Led Pre-Assessment Clinic for inpatients and day cases undergoing Endoscopy procedures, in the absence of the line manager.

The post holder will assess patient fitness, lead a multidisciplinary team, supervise junior staff and learners, and ensure adherence to JAG/JETS/BSG and CQC standards to ensure smooth transition from pre-assessment to day of surgery.

Qualifications

• Significant nursing background with relevant registration.
• Experience with Endoscopy procedures and pre-assessment.
• Knowledge of JAG/JETS/BSG and CQC standards.
• Able to supervise/jointly teach junior staff and learners.

Responsabilités

• Ensure patients are pre-assessed prior to Endoscopy procedures.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate individual patient care across pre-assessment and day of surgery.
• Take comprehensive medical history and social history when assessing patients.
• Lead the team and ensure high, safe standards of care in absence of the line manager.
• Coordinate investigations and liaise with multidisciplinary team as appropriate.
