Job summary

Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Band 6 Pre-Assessment Nurse to manage the Nurse Led Pre-Assessment Clinic for Endoscopy patients. The post requires considerable medical and surgical experience, with knowledge of JAG/JETS/BSG, and the ability to ensure a seamless transition from pre‑assessment to day of surgery.

You will assess fitness, coordinate with the multidisciplinary team, supervise junior staff, and uphold high standards of care in line with CQC and NHS guidelines.

• RGN

Responsibilities

• Pre-assess patients prior to Endoscopy procedures.
• Assess patient fitness and medical history.
• Coordinate with multi-disciplinary team for pre-assessment and day-of-surgery
• Lead and supervise junior staff in the Pre-Assessment Clinic
• Ensure adherence to local and national protocols and guidelines
