CHEC is seeking an Endoscopy Practitioner to join our team. The role involves working across CHEC hospitals with travel within the CHEC network, providing high-quality endoscopy care from pre-admission to recovery and discharge.

You will support safe procedures, assist with sedation, and help maintain patient dignity and safety in a fast-paced environment, with ongoing training and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Registered practitioner with NMC or HCPC.
• Attention to detail and eagerness to learn.
• Experience in endoscopy preferred (procedure room and recovery).
• Commitment to high-quality patient care and teamwork.

Responsabilités

• Prepare clinical areas and equipment in line with daily activities and infection control.
• Take baseline observations on admissions and request sedation when competent.
• Assist the Endoscopist in the procedure room: prepare instruments, support scope handling, maintain patient positioning and dignity.
• Help ensure smooth endoscopy list flow according to CHEC SOPs and policies.
• Participate in CQC and JAG accreditation and ongoing competency training (JETs framework).
• Provide direct assistance during procedures and monitor patients during sedation.
• Monitor in recovery area and provide discharge instructions.
