Job summary

CHEC is seeking an Endoscopy Practitioner to join our team. The role is full-time, 37.5 hours over 4 days with occasional weekends, and shifts from 07:30 to 17:30 with some flexibility to meet patient needs.

The post offers opportunities to travel to CHEC hospitals to expand training within the normal working day. You will work under the Lead Endoscopy Practitioner and Hospital Manager, supporting safe, high-quality care across the patient pathway, and contributing to CQC and JAG accreditation

Qualifications

• Registered with the NMC or HCPC.
• Attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Experience in an endoscopy unit preferred.
• Dedication to high-quality patient care and teamwork.
• Ability to remain calm in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare clinical areas and equipment per daily activities and infection control protocols.
• Assist the Endoscopist in the procedure room: prepare instruments, support scope handling, ensure patient safety and dignity.
• Support endoscopy list flow and adhere to CHEC SOPs.
• Contribute to CQC and JAG accreditation and ongoing training requirements.
• Monitor recovery and provide post-procedure instructions.
