Job summary

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Endoscopy Nurse to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care for procedures such as Gastroscopy, Colonoscopy and Flexible Sigmoidoscopy. The role supports admission, care, recovery and discharge within a Monday–Friday service, with flexible patterns and a focus on safe, compassionate care across the patient pathway.

Qualifications

• Essential: Registered General Nurse and current UK professional registration.
• Identify training needs as part of continuing professional development.
• Keep up to date with clinical developments within Endoscopy and nursing practice.

Responsibilities

• Maintains safe and high standards of practice in accordance with the NMC Code of Professional Conduct.
• Assessment, delivery and recording of direct & indirect care to patients undergoing diagnostic endoscopic procedures.
• To setup equipment required and assist during endoscopic procedures.
• Administration of drugs as prescribed according to Trust policy and NMC regulations.
• Contributes to development of the Unit and delivery of timely, high-quality services.
