Job summary

East and North Hertfordshire Teaching NHS Trust is recruiting a Registered Nurse-Endoscopy to join the endoscopy team in Stevenage. You will prepare patients, assist the endoscopist, monitor safety, and provide post-procedural education in a fast-paced multidisciplinary environment.

The role requires Band 5 registration, NHS experience, and a commitment to on-call rotas including weekends and bank holidays.

Qualifications

• Registered Nursing qualification on the NMC register.
• GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent) required.
• Commitment to lifelong learning.
• Experience in Endoscopy or Gastroenterology beneficial.
• Practice assessor qualification or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate as a member of the nursing and multidisciplinary team providing high standards of evidence-based care.
• Provide care and advice for patients and carers undergoing Endoscopic procedures.
• Coordinate with the Endoscopy list and plan sessions efficiently.
• Take charge of a session in the Endoscopy unit when needed.
• Supervise junior or non-registered staff and develop Endoscopy competencies.
