Job summary

East and North Hertfordshire Teaching NHS Trust is seeking a Registered Nurse for an Endoscopy role in Stevenage. You will prepare patients, assist the endoscopist, monitor safety during procedures and provide post-procedural care and education across a multidisciplinary team.

The post includes 37.5 hours per week, weekend work, on-call rota and bank holiday cover, with a 12-month fixed term to cover maternity leave. NHS Trust values guide flexible working and professional development.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse on the NMC register.
• Endoscopy experience or involvement with Gastroenterology patients preferred.
• Commitment to lifelong learning and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Participate as a member of the nursing and multidisciplinary team.
• Provide care and advice for patients undergoing Endoscopic procedures.
• Coordinate Endoscopy list and sessions with the Endoscopy coordinator.
• Take charge of a session in the Endoscopy unit when required.
• Supervise junior or non-registered staff in Endoscopy and develop competencies.
