We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate and experienced Endoscopy Lead Practitioner to join our Endoscopy & Theatres Team and take the reins of a vital, fast-evolving service.

Were looking for someone who is not only clinically sharp but also a natural leader. Someone who brings energy, initiative and a proactive mindset to every shift.

With a minimum of two years' relevant experience and/or knowledge in endoscopy, you will have the opportunity to lead and develop our services, making a meaningful contribution to the delivery of exceptional patient care.

Hours: 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday with occasional weekends as required.

Reporting to the Theatre Manager, as Endoscopy Lead Practitioner you will be responsible for the management and activity of the Endoscopy service in line with departmental policies, practice standards, regulation and governance in order to provide high quality, cost effective care that puts the patient first at all times.

Qualifications

  • NMC or HCPC Registration
  • Evidence of continued professional development
  • Teaching, assessing mentorship qualification
  • Qualification or demonstrable experience in a management role

Experience

  • In depth knowledge of HTM: 01-06
  • Proven relevant Endoscopy experience at senior nurse level
  • Proven evidence and sound knowledge base of the Global Ratings Scale (GRS) and the Joint Advisory Group (JAG)
  • Experience of Clinical governance and audit processes
  • Experience of delivering a high standard of patient care within agreed financial limits.

Skills

  • Effective leadership and management skills.
  • Demonstrable skills of financial awareness and management with the need to balance the provision of quality care while maintaining a business focus
  • Knowledge of appropriate standards and external bodies, such as the Care Quality Commission and the Joint Advisory Group
  • Auditing skills across clinical quality standards
  • Sound written, numerical, and verbal communication skills
  • IT literate
  • Previous experience in the Independent Sector
  • Operators / Managers City & Guilds course in Decontamination HTM 01:06

One Ashford is next door to the William Harvey Hospital and is close to junction 10 of the M20. Parking is available and is ideally located for candidates living in and around the Ashford area.
