Job summary

Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Endoscopy Support Assistant to assist during gastroscopy, colonoscopy, bronchoscopy and ERCP, ensuring patient comfort and dignity throughout the journey.

You will prepare clinical areas, support infection prevention, and collaborate with nurses and endoscopists to maintain high standards of patient safety in a busy endoscopy unit at Chelsea and Westminster.

Qualifications

• Experience in supporting patients during endoscopy procedures.

Key Responsibilities Support patients throughout their endoscopy journey, ensuring comfort and dignity at all times Assist Nurses and Endoscopists during endoscopic procedures including gastroscopy, colonoscopy, bronchoscopy, and ERCP Prepare clinical areas, equipment, and stock in line with infection prevention and control standards Undertake patient observations and provide general patient care within the unit Ensure accurate documentation and maintain high standards of patient safety Work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team to deliver an efficient and patient-focused service Maintain a clean, safe, and organised clinical environment
