Job summary

18 Week Support are seeking motivated Endoscopy Healthcare Assistants (HCAs) to support our Endoscopy services across Hampshire. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dedicated multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality patient care throughout the endoscopy pathway.

As an Endoscopy HCA, you will play a key role in supporting patients before, during, and after diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures, while assisting the wider clinical team to ensure safe and effective service

Qualifications

Minimum 6 months experience as Endoscopy HCA within the last 12 months.
NHS experience is essential.
Local candidates within 50 miles of Hampshire preferred.
Strong understanding of endoscopy environments and patient pathways.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Support patients throughout their endoscopy journey, ensuring comfort and dignity at all times.
Assist Nurses and Endoscopists during procedures (gastroscopy, colonoscopy, bronchoscopy, ERCP).
Prepare clinical areas, equipment, and stock per infection prevention standards.
Undertake patient observations and provide general care within the unit.
Ensure accurate documentation and maintain patient safety standards.
Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to deliver efficient patient-focused service.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised clinical environment.
