The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust is seeking a Decontamination Technician to join the Endoscopy team. You will clean, disinfect and prepare endoscopes and related equipment following training and competency assessment, ensuring safe patient care.

As part of a busy decontamination area, you will maintain stock levels, keep records, and work closely with colleagues to meet service requirements while upholding safety and infection prevention standards across both hospital sites.

Qualifications

• GCSE in maths and English.
• Evidence of CPD.

Responsabilités

• Clean, disinfect and prepare endoscopes and related equipment so they are safe to use for patient care.
• Maintain a clean, tidy and organised decontamination area and ensure stock availability.
• Follow national, local and Trust procedures to uphold safety, quality and infection prevention standards.
• Report equipment faults, stock shortages and issues affecting service.
• Keep accurate records and use tracking systems to monitor equipment.
• Collaborate with Endoscopy Unit colleagues to support improvements and efficient service across hospital sites.
