Job summary

George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust is seeking a Band 3 Endoscopy Decontamination practitioner to join the fast-paced unit. You will work in the Decontamination room, decontaminating endoscopes and ensuring traceability, while adhering to IPC and JAG guidelines and supporting training for colleagues.

The role requires healthcare experience, confidentiality, strong communication, and a commitment to patient safety within a 37.5-hour week (Mon-Fri).

Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare environment (minimum 6 months).
• Demonstrates good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and efficiency of endoscopy decontamination processes.
• Maintain decontamination area and track equipment per guidelines.
• Provide training support to staff in Decontamination and adhere to IPC and JAG standards.
