Job summary

Nuffield Health Leeds Hospital is seeking a Clinical Leader to oversee the Endoscopy team within theatre. You will combine clinical leadership with hands-on delivery in surgery/anaesthetics and maintain high standards of patient care.

Ideally you are registered with the relevant governing body, with post-registration experience in Endoscopy and strong communication and organisational skills. This part-time role is 20 hours per week with a focus on quality, safety and service improvement.

Qualifications

• Registered with the appropriate governing body and post-registration in surgery/anaesthetics.
• Experience in Endoscopy theatre management or equivalent.
• Strong communication and organisational skills; team player.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Endoscopy team within theatre and oversee theatre lists and bookings.
• Collaborate across theatre suites to meet service demands (Endoscopy, General, Gynae).
• Promote risk management, governance and quality improvement; ensure policies and procedures are followed.
• Support JAG accreditation requirements and audits.
• Maintain knowledge of surgical techniques and equipment.

We are looking for a Clinical Leader for our Hospital to help us build a healthier nation. you’re registered with the appropriate governing body and you have the relevant qualifications and post registration in surgery/anaesthetics experience, including as a Registered Nurse or HCPC Registered Operating Department Practitioner.

With strong clinical leadership, you will guide your team a shared vision promoting innovation and sustainability. As a clinical leader, you will have good communication and organisational skills and the ability to work as part of a team, knowledge and understanding of running a smooth & effective department equipment is also essential.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and organize the Endoscopy team within theatre, which include the smooth running of the theatre lists and organizing booking forms and assisting sessions in theatres.
• Work collaboratively and flexibly across the theatre suites to accommodate the service demands of each department, which include Endoscopy, General, Gynae.
• Promote effective clinical risk management and governance within the department, including safety and risk management, quality improvement and ensure policies and procedure, to enhance patient care and service delivery.
• Have experience of working towards JAG accreditation and can demonstrate a clear understanding of the requirements to achieve this, as well as maintain it.
• Have extensive knowledge required for dealing with audits and equipment.
• Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of surgical techniques and associated equipment.
