Job summary

Nuffield Health Leeds Hospital is looking for a Clinical Leader to guide the Endoscopy and theatre teams, ensuring smooth lists and excellent patient care.

You will be registered with the appropriate governing body and bring post‑registration surgical/anaesthetics experience, backed by strong leadership, communication and organisational skills to drive service excellence in a busy private hospital setting.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Conduct and organise the Endoscopy team within theatre, ensuring smooth theatre lists and booking forms
• Collaborate across theatre suites to meet service demands in Endoscopy, General, Gynae
• Promote clinical risk management, governance, safety, quality improvement and policy adherence
• Demonstrate understanding of JAG accreditation and maintaining it
• Lead audits and equipment management with comprehensive surgical techniques knowledge
• Provide opportunities for continuous growth and personal development

We are looking for a Clinical Leader for our Hospital to help us build a healthier nation. you’re registered with the appropriate governing body and you have the relevant qualifications and post registration in surgery/anaesthetics experience, including as a Registered Nurse or HCPC Registered Operating Department Practitioner. With strong clinical leadership, you will guide your team a shared vision promoting innovation and sustainability. As a clinical leader, you will have good communication and organisational skills and the ability to work as part of a team, knowledge and understanding of running a smooth & effective department equipment is also essential.

As our Clinical Leader, you will:

• Conduct and organize the Endoscopy team within theatre, which include the smooth running of the theatre lists and organizing booking forms and assisting sessions in theatres

• Work collaboratively and flexibly across the theatre suites to accommodate the service demands of each department, which include Endoscopy, General, Gynae

• Promote effective clinical risk management and governance within the department, including safety and risk management, quality improvement and ensure policies and procedure, to enhance patient care and service delivery.

• Have experience of working towards JAG accreditation and can demonstrate a clear understanding of the requirements to achieve this, as well as maintain it.

• Have extensive knowledge required for dealing with audits and equipment.

• Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of surgical techniques and associated equipment
