Job summary

Trafigura Group is looking for a Forward Deployment Engineer in London, UK. This role requires embedding with business teams to deliver production applications, owning the entire technical lifecycle from discovery to deployment.

Candidates should hold a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering and have at least 6 years of software engineering experience, ideally in financial services or comparable enterprise environments.

Ensuring effective communication and collaboration across teams is essential, as well as experience with Python, React, and AWS.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on software engineering experience in financial services or enterprise environments.
• Demonstrated experience delivering production applications from prototypes.
• Strong understanding of database systems and microservices architecture.

Responsibilities

• Embed with business teams to translate workflows into production applications.
• Own the end-to-end technical lifecycle of engagement-layer applications.
• Design and deploy agentic AI workflows and integrate applications.

Skills

Proficiency in Python

Full-stack engineering (React, Node.js)

Hands-on experience with AWS

Experience with Docker and Kubernetes

Education
