Job summary

Denu Recruit Limited is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer for a FCA-regulated fintech in London. The role covers integrations with partner banks, white-label partners, and introducers, with half time spent prototyping and the other half embedded with partners and internal teams.

You will prototype integrations, ensure live production readiness, and work under regulatory constraints while collaborating with product and partner teams to shape the platform's next steps.

Qualifications

• Production-grade software development experience in .NET/C# or TypeScript.
• Experience building integrations and bringing prototypes to early production.
• Experience with distributed systems and APIs.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure preferred; AWS/GCP OK).
• Experience with containers and CI/CD pipelines.
• Nice to have: payments, open banking, BaaS, or DDD, Kafka.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with partners and product teams to identify problems and requirements.
• Prototype integrations and new product flows with rapid coding.
• Move viable prototypes to early production with proper observability and compliance.
• Own handoff from prototype to production teams for long-term maintenance.
• Operate within regulatory frameworks (Consumer Duty, DORA, FCA SYSC, UK GDPR) at appropriate stages.
• Shape platform direction based on partner and product feedback.

Forward Deployed Engineer (/Solutions Engineer) | FCA-regulated Fintech | London, Hybrid (3 days in office)

An FCA-regulated fintech in London is hiring a Solutions Engineer. The role is a forward deployed engineering position, covering the platform's integrations with partner banks, white-label and distribution partners, and introducer firms.

About half the job is building: prototyping integrations and new product flows, then taking the ones that work into early production. The other half is spent embedded with partners and internal teams, working out what needs building. Once something is live, you hand it over to the production engineering teams who will own it long-term.

If you've worked as a Forward Deployed Engineer, Integration Engineer or in a client-facing engineering role, this will be familiar.

What you'll actually do -

• Work directly with partners and product teams to find the real problem, often before anyone has written requirements
• Prototype quickly: partner API integrations, white-label apps, new deposit-product flows, onboarding tooling
• Get the prototypes that work into early production, with the robustness, observability and compliance posture live flows need
• Own the handoff. A prototype production can't take over counts as a failure
• Work within Consumer Duty, DORA, FCA SYSC and UK GDPR, and know which rules apply at prototype stage and which apply when hardening
• Shape where the platform goes next

You're the person if…

• You write production-grade .NET/C# or TypeScript and can glue things together fast in Python
• You've taken something from zero to live in production, ideally in a regulated or financial setting
• You're comfortable with distributed systems, APIs, cloud (Azure ideal; AWS/GCP fine), containers and CI/CD
• You know when "good enough" is fine, and when it isn't because regulated money is involved
• You can be credible in front of partners without drifting into account management
• You ship

Bonus points: payments, BaaS or open banking, white-label platforms, DDD, Kafka, Kubernetes.

London, hybrid: Tuesday to Thursday in the office, 2 days remote.
