Job summary

Independent Lives is seeking a male Personal Assistant to support an 18-year-old client with a humorous outlook and interest in retro culture. You will help him build confidence, learn life skills, and enjoy activities such as shopping, cooking, gardening, fishing, golf and days out.

The role requires patience, reliability and the ability to follow instructions or work on your own initiative. You must be comfortable around pets; a cat is present at home, and a DBS check may be required.

Qualifications

• Must have right to work in the UK and be willing to undertake checks

Responsibilities

• Support an 18-year-old client to build confidence and independence
• Assist with activities: shopping, cooking, gardening, fishing, golf and days out
• Maintain privacy, health and safety standards; be hygienic and well organized
• Display honesty, cheerfulness, and good interpersonal skills
• Speak and read English to a reasonable standard
• Be comfortable with pets and one cat in the home

An amazing 18-year-old with a brilliant sense of humour and a love of all things retro is looking for a male Personal Assistant to join him on life's adventures.

With a real curiosity about the world, geography and different cultures, he is eager to learn new things, gain knowledge from those around him, and grow in confidence as he develops new skills and greater independence. He would love a PA who can share their interests, experiences and practical knowledge while supporting him to explore new opportunities.

You’ll support him to build confidence, make friends, develop life skills, and enjoy activities such as shopping, cooking, gardening, fishing, golf and days out.

If you’re patient, positive, enjoy a good laugh, and have experience of fishing and golf, this could be the perfect and highly rewarding role for you!
