Job summary

Hana Group in Christchurch, United Kingdom, is seeking motivated food-prep staff to join our sushi production teams. You will prepare fresh ingredients by hand, label products for safety and compliance, and work either independently or as part of a team to uphold high standards.

We value reliability, initiative, and a commitment to learning. Roles start early (6am on some days) and include ongoing training, on-site parking, and a range of employee perks to support your wellbeing and development.

Qualifications

• Experience in food preparation and handling ingredients.
• Understanding of food safety and allergen controls.
• Ability to work early shifts and adapt to a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Willingness to learn and improve skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare fresh ingredients by hand, including meat and raw fish.
• Accurately label products to ensure food safety and allergen compliance.
• Multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Clean workspaces and storerooms as required.
• Stay organized and maintain high standards of cleanliness.

Job Description

If you are:

And have:

• A good understanding of Food Safety & Health and Safety regulations, ability to follow brand standards and comply with company policies.
• Reliable transportation for your commute to work early in the morning

And able to:

• Prepare fresh ingredients by hand, including meat and raw fish products each shift
• Accurately labelling products ensuring lawful compliance around food safety and allergen compliance each shift.
• Be a skilled Multitasker in a fast-paced environment
• Able to clean the workspace and storerooms as required
• Be organised
• Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and safe environment for our customers, our clients and ourselves.
• An early riser as shifts can start at 6am some days
• Learn new skills or improve skills already mastered
