Job summary

Brook Street is seeking a Female Support Worker to join a specialist domestic abuse service, supporting women to rebuild confidence and independence.

You will provide practical and emotional support, help access housing, benefits, health services, and other community resources, and collaborate with partner agencies.

The role requires a full UK driving licence, a caring, empathetic approach, and participation in an on-call rota; full training is provided.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and listening skills.
• Caring, empathetic, non-judgemental approach.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Some awareness or understanding of domestic abuse.
• Full training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one support and guidance to women affected by domestic abuse.
• Help access housing, benefits, health services, and community resources.
• Work with partner agencies and professionals.
• Maintain support records and plans.
• Participate in an on-call rota with additional payments.
