Job summary

Komplex Community in Cannock, Staffordshire, is seeking a dedicated Support Worker for full-time, 12-hour shifts, including waking nights. The role focuses on person-centred care for adults with autism, learning disabilities, and mental health needs, empowering independence and dignity.

You will provide daily living support, promote routines, and help individuals build life skills in a safe, respectful environment. Prior UK work authorisation is required.

Qualifications

• A Full UK driving licence.
• A minimum of one year’s experience working in care or support.
• Compassion, resilience, and emotional intelligence.
• Confidence working with individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and behaviours that challenge.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals with daily tasks such as cooking, personal care, cleaning, and budgeting.
• Encourage independence and build confidence through meaningful activities and community access.
• Be a calm, reliable presence during difficult times, offering emotional reassurance and structure.
• Promote routines and relationships that help people feel safe, respected, and included.
• Monitor and record progress, recognising and celebrating small wins every day.
• Work regular 12-hour shifts, including waking nights, to provide consistent and high‑quality care.
