West Somerset College in Minehead is seeking a Teaching Assistant to support learning under teacher guidance. You will adapt resources for diverse learners, including those with SEND, and help maintain a safe, inclusive environment where every student can thrive.

The role is 27.5 hours per week, term-time with INSET days, 39 weeks per year, and located at West Somerset College. Generous pension and staff benefits accompany the salary.

Competenze

• Strong literacy and numeracy skills (GCSE Grade C/4 or above in English and Maths).
• Experience working with children in an educational setting is desirable.
• A proactive, compassionate, and adaptable approach to supporting students.
• The ideal candidate will work constructively as part of a team with defined classroom roles.

• Supporting students in lessons and small groups to help them stay on track and build independence.
