Job summary

Sir Jonathan North Girls' College is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to maximise progress of pupils with SEND, delivering 1:1 and small group support under the direction of the SENCo. The role runs Monday to Friday 8:15am–2:45pm, 30 hours a week for 39 weeks (term-time plus 5 teacher training days).

You will help pupils access the curriculum, set targets, monitor progress, and contribute to student reviews and records within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• To provide SEND support within mainstream classes as directed by the SENCo.
• To deliver 1:1 and small-group interventions as directed by the SENCo.

Responsibilities

• To provide support to SEND students within the mainstream as directed by the SENCo.
• To provide 1:1 and small interventions as directed by the SENCo.
• Supporting the Student: understanding special needs and bringing experience to meeting needs.
• To support students in achieving targets outlined on Learning Plans.
• To assist students with completion of homework and promote inclusion.
