Job summary

Manor Wood School, part of Outcomes First Group, is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional needs. You will work closely with teachers to enable access to learning, build confidence and promote independence in a nurturing environment.

The role offers a permanent contract, 40-hour weeks, and a salary in the £23k–£30k range depending on experience. Applicants should be committed to safeguarding and inclusive practice.

Qualifications

• GCSE English & Maths at grade C/4 or above.
• Demonstrates a team-focused, flexible and proactive mindset.
• Excellent communication and ability to build relationships with pupils, staff and families.

Responsibilities

• Support individual pupils and small groups across the curriculum
• Deliver personalised learning and behaviour support programmes
• Prepare resources and equipment
• Record pupil progress and important information
• Encourage positive behaviour, social skills and self-esteem
• Supervise pupils throughout the school day, including lunchtime
• Accompany pupils on external trips and educational visits
• Support classroom organisation and displays
• Attend training, meetings, and contribute to whole-school improvement
• Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families
