Job summary

Education Impact Academy Trust is seeking several Teaching Assistants (Level 2) to support pupils with diverse needs at Mayfield School in Birmingham. The roles cover two sites, Wheeler Street Lozells and Heathfield Road Handsworth, with either 8.40–15.40 (32.5 hrs) or 10.30–14.00 (17.5 hrs) patterns.

Candidates should be committed, team-oriented and patient, able to support learning and emotional needs. Special school experience is not required if you are a positive person willing to learn on

• Special school experience not required if you are a positive person who is committed to improving outcomes for young people and who is willing to learn on the job.

Responsibilities

• This role supports pupils to access the curriculum and engage in learning across Mayfield School.
• The post may be based at either Wheeler Street, Lozells or Heathfield Road, Handsworth, depending on needs.
• Provide clear boundaries and consistent support with engagement, learning, emotional regulation and sensory needs.
