Job summary

Manor Community Primary School in Greenhithe seeks an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated staff. You will work with teachers to support pupils’ learning across the classroom, in small groups and one-to-one, helping create a positive and inclusive environment.

The role supports pupils including those with additional needs, promotes wellbeing, and uses ICT and digital tools. We value teamwork, patience and a nurturing approach, and offer opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• Passionate about supporting children's learning and development.
• Strong communication with pupils and staff.
• Experience working with children in school or similar setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support learning under the guidance of the class teacher.
• Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning.
• Help pupils understand instructions and stay engaged.
• Promote inclusion and adapt support for diverse needs, including SEND.
• Encourage positive behaviour and a calm classroom environment.
• Support pupils' social, emotional and mental wellbeing.
• Prepare and organise classroom resources and learning materials.
• Provide feedback to teachers on pupil progress and engagement.
• Assist with breaktimes, lunch times, visits and school activities as required.
• Support the use of ICT and digital learning tools.
