Job summary

Allscreens Nationwide Ltd in Banbury is seeking a Part Time 1:1 Teaching Assistant to work under supervision, supporting pupils including those with special needs, and helping teachers manage learning activities.

You will assist with planning, monitor progress, promote inclusion, and contribute to the school environment while adhering to safeguarding policies and procedures. The role requires good numeracy/literacy and the ability to work as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Good numeracy/literacy skills (ideally GCSE or equivalent).
• NVQ 2 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualifications or experience.
• Training in the relevant learning strategies e.g. literacy.
• First aid training/training as appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Supervise pupils and provide support for pupils, including those with special needs, ensuring safety and access to learning activities.
• Create and maintain a supportive learning environment and assist with lesson planning and display of pupil work.
• Monitor pupils’ responses to learning activities and record achievement as directed by the teacher.
• Provide feedback to teachers on pupil progress, problems and achievements under guidance.
• Assist with supervision of pupils before/after school and during lunchtimes as required.
