Job summary

St Joseph's Specialist Trust is seeking a compassionate Supported Living Worker to support a female resident at our Cranleigh home. No previous experience required; you will provide empathetic, patient care to help tenants live independently with dignity, on a rota basis.

We offer a thorough induction, funded training and DBS clearance, plus ongoing support. Benefits include a £1,000 retention bonus, 37 hours per week, 25 days annual leave, life insurance and wellbeing services.

Qualifications

• No previous experience is required.
• Empathy, patience, positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Comfortable supporting someone with a range of needs.
• Physically, mentally and emotionally resilient.

Responsibilities

• Support tenants with daily living activities such as cooking, cleaning and shopping.
• Help tenants access the local community and take part in activities and trips.
• Accompany tenants to college, appointments and other activities.
• Support tenants to enjoy leisure time and pursue their interests.
• Encourage independence and help tenants develop confidence and life skills.
• Provide patient and consistent support when tenants feel anxious, frustrated or overwhelmed.
