Job summary

Royal Mencap Society in Chesterfield is seeking a part-time Support Worker (30 or 20 hours per week) to join a service supporting two gentlemen. Shifts cover mornings, afternoons, evenings, sleep-ins, weekends and bank holidays.

Full DBS checks and references are required; full training including positive behaviour support will be provided. We offer a rewarding, community-focused role with flexible patterns.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and a naturally caring, patient personality.
• Experience with challenging behaviour is ideal but not required as full training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Support people to live independently including budgeting, paying bills, housework, appointments and cooking healthy meals.
• Build positive relationships and promote understanding of the world around the people supported.
