Job summary

Certitude is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to join our team in London. Working directly with people in their homes and in the community, you will help individuals live the lives they want by offering personalised support and promoting choice.

The role is permanent full-time (37.5 hours per week) with salary between £24,853 and £28,938 per year. You will join a supportive environment that values development, DBS clearance, and opportunities to grow within the charity sector.

Qualifications

• The ability to motivate others and build confidence.
• Understanding of accountability, confidentiality, and professional boundaries.
• Understanding of challenges faced by people with mental health or learning disabilities.
• Good IT skills.
• A driving licence (preferably).
• Work or personal experience in supporting people with mental health or learning disability needs.

• Building great relationships with people we support and the people important to their lives.
• Promoting choice and participation when supporting people with daily tasks.
• Co-creating opportunities for people to try new things and offering information to support people to make their own choices.
• Offering personalised support by working with people’s strengths to build their confidence and overcome obstacles with the aim of achieving their goals.
• Encouraging people to participate in activities that bring them joy and meaning.
